BP dominates Singapore bunker trade

2013 was the 11th straight year in which BP was the oil company that sold the most fuel to ships in the key fuel hub of Singapore.

Unmatched and unsurpassed, that must be how to describe BP Singapore Pte. Ltd, the leading supplier on the ship fuel market in the Port of Singapore. For the 11th year in a row the company sold the most fuel to ships in the world's biggest bunker port, according to Ship & Bunker.

The total amount of fuel transferred in 2013 from the 68 registered bunker companies onto the ships declined a little compared to the previous year, so that instead of 42.7 million tons of fuel, the companies noted a total of 42.5 million tons. The record year is 2011, where 43.2 million tons of fuel was sold.
