The British Competition Commission (BCC) will present a preliminary ruling on Friday, March 21st, stating whether it was within the BCC's legal jurisdiction to reach a verdict when the Commission last summer barred Eurotunnel from operating ferries on the English Channel, where the company is in direct competition with DFDS, says the Danish carrier in a press release issued yesterday, Wednesday.

In June 2013 the BCC ruled that Eurotunnel's ferry operations on the English Channel distorted the competition, as the company is already operating the tunnel under the Channel. Eurotunnel launched its ferry operations on the Channel when the company acquired three ferries from bankrupt SeaFrance.
