PSA take-over of PB Towage is imminent

The towage unit of Pacific Basin can soon be absorbed by Singapore based PSA Marine. However, the offshore unit is no longer part of the deal, CEO Mats Berglund reveals to ShippingWatch.

The streamlining of Pacific Basin is expected soon to lead to the final sell-off of Pacific Basin’s harbor towage business. Pacific Basin CEO, Mats Berglund, tells ShippingWatch that exclusive discussions with PSA Marine are being held right now with the aim to conclude the take-over. The final negotiations and due diligence process by PSA is the only barrier now hindering the creation of a new substantial Asian-Pacific stakeholder in the harbor towage segment.
