German carriers in bln USD deal with Chinese bank

Peter Döhle Shiffahrts-KG and Bernhard Schulte have signed a USD 1.2 billion loan agreement with Chinese state-owned bank. The funds will be used to purchase newbuildings.

The two German shipping companies Peter Döhle Shiffahrts-KG and Bernhard Schulte have signed a major financing agreement with Chinese state-owned bank Export-Import Bank of China (EximBank), which will provide a total of USD 1.2 billion for newbuildings, says the official Chinese news agency, Xinhua.
