
Several member states support a motion to let Philippine seafarers schools keep their license. This became apparent after the matter was discussed at the so-called COSS committee, Committee on Safety at Sea, according to Hellenic Shipping News.
The member states called for the Philippine administration to report to the EU Commission every three months, while the EMSA will continue to perform inspections in order to ensure that the schools comply with European standards.
