ShippingWatch brings an extract of the White Paper behind the new Trident Alliance. Ten of the biggest carriers in the world will meet in Copenhagen on 28 May to launch the unprecedented  initiative. The aim is to make politicians ensure a firm enforcement of the new sulphur rules to be implemented in the EU from 2015.

The alliance is open to all shipping companies who can support the principles laid down.
