Things are going better for J. Lauritzen, as the carrier for the first time in a long while is able to present a positive result on its bottom line in the interim report for the 1st quarter 2014, and the company increases its expectations for operating as well as net result for the year as a whole.
J. Lauritzen's bottom line finished at USD 1.9 million after taxes, according to the carrier's interim report, published today. An USD 27.7 million improvement compared to the same period last year, says the carrier in the report, pointing out that the result includes profits from "discontinuing operations" for USD 10.6 million.
