Svitzer in collaboration to develop new eco-tug

The Maersk Group's towage division Svitzer has entered a collaboration aimed at developing a new eco-tug design.

Svitzer, the Maersk Group's towage and rescue company, has joined a collaboration with Dutch Damen and German MTU Friedrichshafen, a subsidiary of Rolls-Royce, aimed at developing a new environmental tugboat design, says Damen in a statement.
