SeaLand eyes market growth of 4-5 pct. this year

Container trade in the American region will grow by up to five percent in 2015. However, the strong dollar challenges the purchasing power of the Latin American countries where currencies have lost significant value, says Craig Mygatt, CEO of Maersk Line's SeaLand, to ShippingWatch.

2015 will bring a solid growth for the freight market in the US region, projects Craig Mygatt, CEO of Maersk Line's new inter-regional carrier SeaLand, which handles all cargo for Maersk Line between North America, Central and South America and the Caribbean.
