Iran to release seafarers once Maersk has paid

News agency AP reports that Iran will release the crew on board the vessel Maersk Tigris in two days, though under the condition that Maersk pays a fine related to an old case concerning unclaimed cargo. Maersk has submitted a letter of undertaking.

Iran will likely release the seafarers on board Maersk Tigris - who have been detained since April 28th along with the ship - in two days, says a spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs according to news agency AP. However, this will be done on the condition that Maersk pays a fine related to an old case concerning unclaimed cargo.
