The Danish carrier DFDS Seaways is canceling all departures between Calais in France and Dover in the UK until Tuesday, after one of the company's ferries has been fired at with emergency flares.

"I can confirm that flares have been fired which have hit the ship sailing to Calais," says Vice President of Communications at DFDS, Gert Jakobsen to Danish news agency Ritzau.
