Clipper Group welcomes new chairman

Clipper has in recent months made numerous changes at executive level. With Frank G. Jensen taking over as CEO, the carrier has now brought in a new chairman.

Clipper Group A/S has appointed Peter Appel, lawyer and partner at law firm Gorrissen Federspiel, new chairman of the Danish carrier, according to a statement. The appointment of a new chairman comes as now-former chairman Frank G. Jensen in July took over daily management of the carrier:

"It has become evident to both Gary and me that it is not in the best interest of Clipper to have a CEO based 4000 miles away from our commercial headquarters. We have mutually agreed that Clipper’s CEO should be based in Copenhagen, and consequently Gary will step down as CEO and Partner with immediate effect, as he wishes to pursue opportunities in the US," he said at the time.
