
The UK is now ready to introduce measures aimed at making it more attractive for shipping companies to do business in the region. In the past month, Denmark, Sweden and most recently Norway have made announcements pointing to revised framework conditions, and after 465 vessels have exited the British ship register in the period 2010 o 2014, the country is now ready to act.
This was made clear during the London International Shipping Week when MP and Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Greg Hands, told attendees that Britain "will pull out all the stops to keep the UK a world-leading maritime center," as reported by Break Bulk.
