Smedegaard: Our markets are in very bad state

There are no real possibilities of growing right now, notes Maersk Group CEO Nils Smedegaard Andersen, and he is far from optimistic about global economic developments in 2016.

Maersk Group CEO Nils Smedegaard Andersen spoke in plain words following publication of the conglomerate's results for the third quarter 2015, which showed a dive in profits of almost 50 percent:

"We are in a situation in which our markets are in a very bad state, and of course this affects the result," said Nils Smedegaard Andersen, pointing to the two fundamental conditions that are currently hitting Maersk.
