The density of vessels in the Baltic Sea and the growing number of wind turbines in the North Sea are now making the surrounding countries implement plans to avoid future conflicts about the rights to the sea.

The number of wind turbines and other activities off the shores of countries by the North Sea or the Baltic Sea increase every year, and this could cause problems for the traffic at sea. The rights to the ocean space have now been placed on the agenda in several European countries.
