Dachser head thinks forwarders will win logistics battle with carriers

Competition is ”fruitful”, according to Dachser Managing Director Claus Freydag, but he still keeps an eye on container liners’ acquisitions within logistics which are financed by almost tax-free profits. Dachser would like equal terms: ”This also includes taxation.”

German logistics group Dachser, one of the world’s largest, is keeping a critical eye fixed upon major container carriers – spearheaded by MSC, Maersk, and CMA CGM – which in recent years have begun buying into the logistics market.
