European forwarders hope for "fair and equitable" market after special rule is eliminated

Clecat, which brings together European freight forwarders, has been one of the harshest critics of the special benefits for shipping companies in the EU.

With the abolition of the Consortia Block Exemption Regulation (CBER) on Tuesday, the European freight forwarders’ trade association Clecat won the victory it had been lobbying for for years. In the UK, the abolition of the special rule came as a surprise.
