Lidl enters logistics after venture in container shipping

The German retail chain will offer logistics services between the Slovenian port city of Koper and Eastern European countries.

The retail chain Lidl, which launched its own container shipping company a few years ago, is now also moving into land-based logistics. The German retailer’s shipping company, Tailwind Shipping Lines, has established the subsidiary Tailwind Intermodal, which offers logistics services, according to Deutsche Verkehrs-Zeitung.
