Danish logistics company DFDS has ordered an additional 100 electric trucks, almost doubling its fleet of heavy electric trucks.

The company announced this on Monday morning.

”We are determined to accelerate the transition to more sustainable road transport, and the new electric trucks underline that we put action behind our words. Our growing fleet of electric trucks not only helps reduce the climate impact of our own operations, but also enables DFDS to help more companies who want to decarbonize their supply chains,” says Niklas Anderson, Director of the Logistic Division at DFDS.

DFDS already has the largest fleet of heavy electric trucks in Europe. The order brings the number of electric trucks to 225.

95 electric trucks are currently in operation in Sweden, Denmark, Lithuania, Belgium and the Netherlands, and another 30 will be delivered during 2024, according to DFDS.
