Ships need to improve their CO2 intensity by at least 80 percent by 2030, states a new proposal to be discussed in the UN's International Maritime Organization, IMO.

The new proposal is a doubling of the IMO's ambition in the current climate strategy, where the target is 40 percent by 2030.
