Eastern Pacific Shipping and MAN select ammonia and methanol as future fuel

Eastern Pacific Shipping now enters a partnership with MAN Energy Solutions and a fuel supplier to retrofit and build ammonia and methanol-powered ships.

Shipowner Eastern Pacific Shipping has chosen its side in the race to determine the fuel of the future.

Eastern Pacific Shipping, controlled by Israeli shipping magnate Idan Ofer, plans to retrofit ships to sail on methanol and ammonia. Additionally, the shipowner will build newbuilds capable of sailing on those alternative fuels.
