Ships account for 13.5 percent of greenhouse gases in European transport

A new report published by EU agency European Maritime Safety Agency takes stock of the shipping industry's climate footprint in Europe, where shipping is the third-biggest polluter among the transport sectors. See the full report here.

EU agency European Maritime Safety Agency, EMSA, has published a new report which assesses the climate footprint and climate efforts underway in the shipping industry. It comes at a time when the industry is striving to determine how best to contribute towards the global climate targets.
