ICS and Bimco appear to be out of sync on global carbon levy

It came as no surprise when ICS proposed a global carbon levy with Intercargo. Notably, however, Bimco wasn't part of the proposal.

When ICS, seconded by Intercargo, presented the first details in the proposal for a global carbon levy, the most notable thing wasn't the contents of the proposal.

The proposal will implement a carbon levy for all ships over 5,000 GT and for each tonne of emitted CO2, following the IMO's most recent meeting in the MEPC committee, which finally put the levy on the agenda.
