DP World "pushes" to make terminals climate neutral

Chief executive officer Dirk Van den Bosch aims for DP World in Antwerp to be "as climate neutral as technology allows us to be" by 2030. He explains how the Dubai-based group is pushing for reduction of CO2 emissions.

At port major DP World's terminal in Antwerp, the third-largest container port in Europe, CEO Dirk Van den Bosch aims to bring CO2 emissions down as quickly as possible and preferably quicker than the global targets currently outline.

DP World's official target today is for greenhouse gas emissions tied to the group's total operations to be reduced by 2 percent a year with an aim of reaching zero as quickly as possible.
