Trafigura head: Shipping risks losing fight over green fuels

Trafigura’s head of decarbonization, Rasmus Bach Nielsen, thinks shipping could risk losing crucial shares of green energy to produce low emission fuels to other industries, which have enormous assets and significant investor pressure behind them.

The battle over shares of green fuels is already happening, and the shipping industry currently risks losing and thereby leave the market to other industries, which also have to achieve significant carbon reductions in the years to come.
