Singapore to define when a maritime business in Asia is actually green

Singapore has embarked on a new taxonomy system for Asia which includes transition time as a criteria. The maritime industry is one of the sectors set to benefit from the regulation.

Singapore’s Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) wants to define when a business is bright green and when it is still only amber due to the sector’s status as a hard-to-abate industry which realistically will take years to decarbonize.
