Bimco adopts clauses for coming EU carbon quotas

Starting next year, the clauses can be used when signing new shipping contracts to account for the upcoming EU climate rules for shipping.

Shipping organization Bimco is launching a series of new clauses to prepare the shipping industry for the EU’s new climate rules, ETS, which from January 1 requires shipping companies to buy carbon quotas for their pollution to and from EU ports.
