US imposes new sanctions on Russian shipping and energy companies

The country has issued hundreds of sanctions targeting Russia’s energy sector and maritime companies, among others.

On Wednesday, May 1, the US took further steps against Russia, issuing hundreds of new sanctions directed at nearly 200 targets.
