Total expects one in five vessels to sail on high-sulfur fuel

Oil company Total believes the market for high-sulfur fuel oil will continue to be "significant" once the sulfur regulations enter force next year.

Oil company Total believes that 10 and 20 percent of the global fleet will continue to sail on high-sulfur bunker once the global sulfur regulations take effect next year.

"The market will be significant," says Jerome Leprince-Ringuet, managing director in Total Marine Fuels Solutions, to Lloyd's List.
