Keppel's dispute with strained rig company takes new turn

Keppel has dropped a contract with rig company Awilco Drilling after the company failed to pay a due installment for a newbuild.

Shipbuilder Keppel has torn up a contract on a newbuild with rig company Awilco Drilling.

In fact, Awilco had started the dispute surrounding the rig, trying to have the contract canceled. Keppel worked against this, however, and kept on building the rig.
