Equinor and Vår Energi join Horisont Energi in major ammonia project

The three companies agree to jointly develop project Barents Blue, which will become Europe's first large-scale blue ammonia production facility.

Horisont Energi, lead of sustainable energy project Barents Blue, has secured two important partners for the project in the form of the largest oil and gas outfits in the Barents Sea.

Equinor and Vår Energi joins the project as suppliers of natural gas for the production efforts, writes Horisont Energi in a statement.
