Chinese shipbuilders bagged the most new orders in 2022

Chinese shipbuilders outpaced two other Asian rivals in the race for most new orders in 2022 with global tally down.

China bagged the majority of newbuild orders in 2022 ­ a whopping 49 percent of the global total, or 22.3 million compensated gross tonnage (GCT), South Korean media Yonhap writes.
