Green shipping requirements keep demand high at Wärtsilä

A lack of shipyard capacity is dampening work in newbuilds, but Wärtsilä’s chief executive reports continued stable demand in the maritime business.

Maritime equipment supplier Wärtsilä’s order book grew significantly in the third quarter, with the Finnish supplier pointing to tighter environmental requirements in the marine segment as a particular driver of demand.
