ONE to test wind propulsion on container vessel

Singapore-headquartered ONE will install two containerized wind assist devices, which resemble airplane wings, on a feeder vessel. The potential for fuel savings is said to be up to 5%.

Together with with Dutch maritime wind power company Econowind, ONE is set to install two containerized wind assist devices, known as VentoFoil containers, on the feeder vessel MV Kalamazoo.
