Insurers warn cover at risk if owners fail to follow oil price cap rules

Under revised rules which take effect on Feb. 19, shipowners must provide attestations per voyage to insurers 30 days prior to loading Russian cargoes.

Marine insurers have warned that cover will be negated if shipowners fail to comply with revised rules on carriage of Russian oil and oil-products within the prescribed sanctions regime.
