For five years, Arctic Business Network, located in Aalborg in the Danish region Northern Jutland, has been involved in linking-up Northern Jutland and Greenlandic companies. The organisation has been contacted by a total of 90 companies of which 60 comes from Northen Jutland and 30 from Greenland, Head of Secretariat, Per Bang, says. He adds that the interest in the Arctic region is at its highest at the moment.
“The offshore industry’s interest in the Arctic is exploding. For instance we have been contacted by quite a lot of consulting engineers. They want to go up there to install electricity and drill for oil and they consider this organisation as a gateway,” Per Bang tells ShippingWatch.
