
Six orders this year to deliver electrical energy and propulsion systems for the cruise market made 2013 the best year ever for ABB in regards to the company's new Azipod system, says the company in a press release.
The six orders include two for Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL), two for Royal Caribbean and one each for Holland America Line and Carnival Cruise Lines. The orders were placed throughout 2013, with approx. USD 30 million in the first quarter, around USD 90 million in the 2nd quarter, and USD 30 million in each of the last two quarters of the year.
