MAN Diesel wins big order for eight bulkers

MAN Diesel & Turbo has won a big order for the supplier's Alpha Kappel propellers for eight dry bulk vessels from a Cyprus-based owner and operator.

Engine giant MAN Diesel & Turbo will supply its energy-efficient Alpha Kappel propellers for eight new dry bulk vessels, which will also have one of the supplier's engines installed. The vessels will be built at Chinese New Century Shipbuilding Group.

The deal was made with Cyprus-based owner and ship operator Lemmisoler Navigation. The company will take delivery of the 58,500 teu ships in 2015 and 2016, says MAN Diesel & Turbo in a statement.
