A new technology is underway, aimed at cleaning the bottom hulls of ships while berthed in ports. A global technology developed by Danish C-leanship, which has Thomas Dyrbye - formerly of Maersk and Hansa Heavy Lift - as CEO, together with Swedish Saab Underwater Systems, part of the major Swedish industrial group.

Dyrbye himself describes the technology as "epochal," and now some three years after founding C-leanship, the company is working to install the two-ton machine in the Port of Singapore, he tells ShippingWatch.
