Russian bunker market will become even cheaper

Carriers can save a lot of money by making stops in the Russian bunker market, and the prices will likely continue to drop, says senior markets manager John Demopoulos of US-based Argus.


An increasing number of carriers are performing detours from the original routes these days in order to reach the Russian bunker ports and refuel ships in ports such as St. Petersburg, Vostochny and Vladivostok in the Far East.
