Wärtsilä chosen for Maersk Supply Service's new ships

Finnish Wärtsilä will supply integrated solutions for Maersk Supply Service's new anchor handling vessels, ordered in November. The deal could involve an additional four vessels.

Wärtsilä will serve as supplier to Maersk Supply Service's order for six new Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels, ordered by the carrier in November.

The Finnish subcontractor will supply fully integrated solutions for the six 95 meter vessels, set to be built at Norwegian shipyard Kleven Verft for expected delivery in the fourth quarter 2016 and third quarter 2017, says Wärtsilä. The deal could be expanded to include another four ships.
