ABB lands USD 60 million order for cruise ships

Swedish-Swiss supplier ABB will deliver electric solutions and propulsion systems to two new cruise ships in an order worth a total USD 60 million. The ships are being built by Meyer Werft in Germany.

ABB will supply complete electrical solutions as well as propulsion systems for two new cruise vessels from Star Cruise in an order worth USD 60 million.

The ships will be operated by Genting HongHong and are currently being built at German Meyer Werft's yard in Papenburg, Germany, says ABB in a press release on Monday.
