Sverdrup partner appeals distribution of the Norwegian giant field

Det norske oljeselskap has decided to appeal the distribution of the huge oil field Johan Sverdrup, after the Norwegian authorities at the beginning of July presented the distribution of the field.

For 13 days, there has been a truce between the five partners behind the large Norwegian oil field Johan Sverdrup but now the conflict is flaring up again.

Det norske oljeselskap has opted to appeal the distribution of the field which the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy in Norway presented at the beginning of July, as evident in the company's interim report for the second quarter. The oil company will thus appeal the decision to the King-in-Council, which is the highest government agency in the Norwegian administration, they write.
