Norwegian-based brokers Arctic Securities is in the midst of an ambitious expansion process involving several countries, according to Norwegian business daily Dagens Næringsliv. The broker, owned by Norwegian business man Trond Mohn, has just opened a new office in New York in the historical Rockefeller Center building, a move that marks a new chapter for the company.
Like many other major brokerage firms, Arctic Securities also tried its hand at a merger, with broker Carnegie, though these efforts collapsed last fall. But the ambitions remained in place, and the company has now launched these efforts, CEO Mads H. Syversen tells Dagens Næringsliv:
