Vale divests large stake in Brazilian steel company

Vale is currently trimming its business and thus divesting its minority stake in Brazil's major steel company Companhia Siderurgica do Atlântico at a symbolic transaction price, says the miner.

Several companies have been forced into cutbacks these days. The same is true of the world's largest mining company, Brazil's Vale. The company is currently trimming its portfolio and, in light of this, the stake in Companhia Siderurgica do Atlântico (CSA) has been divested to the German industry group Thyssenkrupp, Vale informs in a statement.
