Maersk Oil: North Sea hinges on Tyra

If a political solution is not found to make it attractive for Maersk to invest in field Tyra, the entire group's portfolio in the North Sea could become less of a priority.

The tradition for decades has been for Denmark's Maersk Group to do the hard work in the Danish part of the North Sea, but this could come to an end, writes Danish newspaper Børsen citing a statement from Maersk Oil CEO, Jakob Thomasen, in the debate over the Tyra fields which account for 90 percent of the Danish gas production.
