Korean yard giants weigh sale of floating docks

Korea's three biggest shipyards have been struggling with deficits in the past year, and as part of restructuring plans both Daewoo and Samsung Heavy are now considering a possible sale of their floating docks.

The global demand for ships has decreased to such an extent that both Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) and Samsung Heavy Industries, South Korea's second and third-largest shipbuilders, are now weighing a potential sale of their floating docks, reports Korea Herald.
