Impairments carve a deep hole in Diamond Offshore

US-based Diamond Offshore booked an adjusted loss of more than half a billion USD in the second quarter within a market which does not seem to be bringing much help with it.

Drilling company Diamond Offshore took a significant cut in the second quarter, when impairments began to hurt severly. The company booked an adjusted net loss of USD 590 million against a profit of USD 90 million in the same period last year, shows the second quarterly report.
