Dutch marine group Royal Boskalis Westminster, which counts companies including towage behemoth Smit, is according to its own statements in the midst of stormy conditions on top of the first six months in 2016, where the company's results declined, as evident from a financial statement Thursday.

Revenue in the first half of the year dropped 25 percent to around EUR 1.1 billion, while the net result of EUR 147.5 million is a reduction of more than 50 percent compared to the same period last year.
