South Korean authorities deny major yard merger

South Korean authorities have now set out to squash rumors that a large-scale merger is underway between the country's three big shipbuilders, including scandal-ridden DSME, writes Maritime Executive.

A merger is not on the way between South Korea's three major yards: Hyundai Heavy Industries, Samsung Heavy Industries, and Daewoo Marine and Shipbuilding Engineering.
